John Peterson

It is quite an honor to be chosen as student of the month considering the mastery and dedication of so many other students at Chosun.  I have enjoyed the opportunity over the last couple of days to reflect on my training and the many things I gain from it.

As far as the physical training goes, I most enjoy the poomsae with Palgwe Oh Jang being my favorite.  Where I have gotten the most bang for my buck in day to day life has been in practicing listening and breathing.  The more I can clear the chatter out of my mind the better I can pay attention to those around me.

As far as other hobbies go, I most enjoy reading and puttering around the yard.  As a militant introvert (and by necessity) I also enjoy sitting in my car for hours at a time going to and from Maryland.
